An easy SEO win for therapists
I know SEO (search engine optimization) is daunting. There are a million hacks, and they all seem like a lot to tackle. You know why it's important though: it helps people find you.
Here's one thing you can do for your SEO today: write a blog post. Seriously.
SEO is generally a slow burn, not a quick spark. So let's start that fire. Or continue it, because you've probably already got a website up and running, which is a great foundation.
If you don't have a page specific to your form of therapy on your website (i.e. if you just have the home page), then I'd encourage you to create a page specific to your target demographic. But that's not what I'm here to talk about today.
What I really want to talk about is the challenge I'm giving you, which is this: write a blog post specific to your population and/or your form of therapy. Write it to your ideal client, letting them know what is available to them.
Here is a format I like:
a. here's your experience (the problem/pain)
b. here's the solution (the modality, the relationship, the framework)
c. here's what you get from the solution (recovery, healing, reconnection)
That's it. Short, simple, sweet. Human.
You can see my example here. And yes, I wrote it this morning. Because my therapy practice is constantly evolving, and I'm regularly updating my website to reflect that.
(Don't forget to put in a good meta description on your blog post-- and all your web pages, if you haven't yet! It's a small detail, but it helps people find you).
Remember, SEO is a long-term relationship. It needs tending to and consistency. But it pays off.
Hope this helps!
